I took a few pictures with this Paxette lens on my a7. A beautiful tiny lens. But the edges are soft to a point that makes me suspect a flipped lens element.

In my memory, this lens is soft WO at my NEX-5N. Stop down to F5.6 is much better but I expect it will be a different story on A7.

Yes I'm obviously not expecting planar performance here. But I expected it to be as good as the Cassar S 2.8/50.

Indeed stopping down helped a lot on the a7 too.

I have no idea. May be my copy is faulty or it is really not a sharp lens.

I took these night photos with the same lens.

f/16 i think. Good sharpness at this setting.
