Still not given up on even the faintest chance of spotting one for my XE-1 (Altix to XF mount), so would like to ask around. Thanks _________________ Andy Cheng |

You would have to buy an Altix and make one from the mount.
Why bother? Only a tiny number of lenses existed in that mount - Meyer Trioplan 2.9/50, Meyer Primagon 4.5/35, Meyer Telefogar 3.5/85 and Zeiss Jena Tessar 2.8/50. All of them, apart from the Telefogar are much more common in other mounts. _________________ I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! |

IIRC someone here posted the link to a site that had a series of those uncommon mount adapters to nex, and, always if I remember correctly, altix was among them. However they were quite expensive and, for the reasons Ian reported, not worth it for me.
You could find some info there, if you manage to dig up the old thread, or if someone else remembers it better than me, maybe other mounts became available in the meantime. _________________ C&C and editing of my pics are always welcome

I am interested too. Tessar for Altix is very nice and compact. _________________ ---------------------------------

I had the site in my bookmarks, here it is:

It mentions nex, m4/3 and samsung NX: no fuji, but someone may be interested however. As I remembered, they're not cheap. _________________ C&C and editing of my pics are always welcome

interesting how they consider 6 altix lenses as considerable variety of lenses : http://www.rrlens.com/altix.html _________________ my tools:Oly E-M5 + 45mm/1.8 + Oly E-520 + 12-60 + 14-42 + 70-300 + Sigma 105mm + FL-50R + EC20 + SRF-11 ring flash

Quote from the site: For the bayonett type adapter we used some parts of an original Altix body - providing easy and fast lens change. Please keep in mind: some parts of the adapter were used for a long time and might look like that. Every adapter is unique.
For every adapter of that type an Altix dies . _________________ ---------------------------------

Altix Tessar is no smaller than the silver coloured Tessars in M42 or Exakta.
Apart from the Telefogar, all the Altix lenses are also available in M42 and Exakta and are much more common and cheaper in those mounts. _________________ I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! |

Get an M42 adapter for your camera and make the following modifications. Luckily the Altix has a FFD the same as M42 (ignore information that tells you otherwise) I made one fit my Pentax K10D by filing out a small portion of the screw thread from an M42 TO PK adapter to match the bayonet on the Altix lens. Only a fraction of a millimetre is needed. The lens seats on the adapter and I hot glued my lens onto it. The glue will pull away cleanly and the adapter will still work for its intended use as most of the thread is still there.
This will work with M42 adapters for ANY camera. Simple! Tried tested and proven.
on the cam - sorry 1/8th second camera shake!

Nice adaptation, philslizzy!.
But if you can't make it work, benyao, don't despair. As others have said here, almost all the Altix lenses can be found in other, easier to source mounts. Even the Telefogar (albeit a 90mm and not an 85mm) can be found in Exakta mount. From Capt. Jack:

Thanks a lot for the information. I've been also watching Telefogar and actually found them modified into M42 and Nikon AI in Taobao (I call it ebay in Mainland China:D), but they're either over my budget or the coating has been seriously oxidized. _________________ Andy Cheng |
