First: I think there is already an answer but .. with search engine I get no result or too many results .. so I am not able to find any usefule info

Second: I just got my first C/Y lense, a yashica ML 50; if I have properly mounted the adapter, here is the situation:

from another point of view:

in this situation, it is not possible to mount the lense due to the protruding part circled in red.

So the question is:

a) do I have to cut the two little "levers" higlighted from red circle,

or

b) do I have to remove the external ring, unscrewing the screws in yellow circles?

Or ... am I totally wrong and there is another way to mount the lens? Embarassed

thanks to anybody for yr help

Hi,
you can cut or file down the two fins, start with the taller one, just a few millimeters and make sure that no chip will fall into the lens.
