Very pleased with this lens considering the £50 paid for it. Focuses to 1:1 with an included achromat doublet diopter.
And here's a very boring test shot I took at f4-ish I believe (underexposed I know but hard to adjust while holding the lens - no adapter yet )
Most likely a good CA test and there doesn't seem to be any. _________________ Cameras: Sony a7s | EOS 400D | Praktica MTL3, LTL3, LLC | FED 5B

Without the included diopter, you get 1:2 life size. With the diopter, you can achieve 1:1 life size.

I paid even less for mine (although without the 1:1 adapter) in P/KA-R mount. I had to remove the "Ricon pin" though, as it was of a harmful type and could make the lens stuck on a Pentax AF body. The removal was very easy; after that, I've got a perfect macro lens with manual focus and automatic aperture control on a Pentax body. AF versions of this lens sell for double the price and have inferior handling and build quality. _________________ List of lenses |

I wonder is it has the same lens elements as the Kyocera from Dental Eye camera.
If it is it will be wonderful. _________________ Stefan

I know that. I have a similar lens, but without the original adapter. I would like to know what achromat close up lens would be equivalent to the original adapter, hard to find separately. |

About a +4 Diopter, but a better choice would be a 50mm extension tube.
A few from today (can't focus too far, I have an MD lens on EOS body, not exactly thin mount adapter either)

I had this lens. Really great results, maybe not the best build quality, since it is plastic.
When you compare picture quality with other 100 mm macros with other prices... This really is an example of value for money. _________________ TWAPSI - The World As Photography Sees It |
