Uuuuhhhh, I see Kevin made another deal - I know his lens pictures!!

He has good stuff, but very pricey usually, but he is very reliable, I also buy from him at times....

Cooke lenses have a very good reputation, especially since Hollywood used them for their films. Especially the color rendition, contrast and sharpness made them very famous up till today. Cooke lenses converted to Leica is THE big thing and people pay quite some $$$$ for these, sometimes quite old, lenses, the Speed Panchro being the most famous one btw. a modified double Gauss design.

So KhanX, obviously you picked a not too bad sample and I quite like the results, although the light looked a bit dim and a bit of sunshine woudl make give it more glow (this is also what made these lenses famous - the "Leica Glow")

Cheers,

The pictures look great, but is it really necessary to post a new reply for every photo?

About the KINETAL lens:

maker: Taylor Hobson

This was the professional 16mm programme:
f1.85 9mm 9g/7c
f1.8 12.5mm same
f1.8 17.5mm same This was noted for Arriflex
f1.8 25mm 6g/4c This was noted for Arriflex
f1.8 37.5mm same
f1.8 50mm same This was noted for Arriflex
f2.6 75mm 5g/4c This was noted for Arriflex
f2.6 100mm same
f3.8 150mm same

so obviously you have a lens which was made for ARRI motion picture camera which someone has converted.
