Hi there,

I'm currently looking for a good Contax C/Y to Nex Adapter to hold my
new 35-135 and 100-300 contax lenses. I read that the Novoflex should
be quite good, but to be honest; this one is just unjustifyable expensive for
a dumb adapter! Not really willing to pay that.

Is there something recommendable around the 50$ mark?

Or would it be better to get a leitax mount and then an mid-range eos-nex
adapter?

Thanks for the tips.

Cheers

If you need an adapter with good infinity out of the box, you may need to consider the expensive one like Novoflex Click here to see on Ebay and Rayqual. For zoom lenses, it is better to get one in the right thickness. Depend on the lens, even the most expensive adapter may not ensure perfect infinity(but should be pretty close).

I have good experience with the adapter from this brand Click here to see on Ebay . Like all the cheap adapter, the lens will go pass infinity and you may need to adjust the adapter to get the lens mount properly.

No matter what adapter you have bought, it will be nice to share your experience here.

Yup, i ordered the K&F as my P6 to M42 is quite pleasing for the price!

I will probably order the one calvin suggested as well.

I'd totally buy the Novoflex if it was around th 60$ mark, but their
price is just in no way justified and i read that the release is no better
then the cheap chinese ones...

Is there a disatvantage if it goes past infinity?

I'll definitly share my experience.

Cheers

How dod you know if the adapter causes reflection, is it obvious
to see in the final picture if there are reflections or is it very subtle?

There are advantages if the infinity is close to the infinity mark. For example, you may not need to re-focus the lens if you make changes to the focal length in a parfocal zoom unless you want to focus critically. And have a hard infinity will be useful for landscapes photographer especially those who works in the dark.

BTW, I discover Jim Kasson do recommend the Kipon adapter. You may give it a try if you are not satisfy the your adapter.
