I found this lens on Taobao a few days ago and bought it for a very low price, about $30.
But when I looked for information on this lens, I couldn't find anything about it.
It's printed on the lens Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 2.8/50.
The mount of the lens is exa.
Thanks.

Yes it certainly looks real to me. It's a later design that that is more often seen (by me at least) in the 135mm f4 Sonnar lens and is designed for the Exakta mount.
I think this style of livery had a nickname - was it Sputnik or something like that because of its rather space age look? Details elude me right now.

Thanks Like 1 small
I just want to know if I'm being lied to.
And is it worth $30?

The lens came in a variety of liveries - aluminium, chrome, and the three versions like yours were generally referred to as the zebra, the gutta-percha and the star-wars types.
Yours is one of the gutta-percha versions of which I think there were two depending on the grip of the focusing ring.
Is it worth $30?
Probably.
That seems to be about the going price for sold samples that I have seen (depending on condition of course).
It is a good lens and will give excellent images

This is what I got when I mounted this lens to a Fujifilm XT3.
I'm sure it's a good lens.

It's a very good lens if you use it into his limits .

In the 50's and 60's almost all srl cameras had three normal lenses
F/2 or near (f/1,8 - f/1,9 - f/2). It was the more complex and expensive. Used to have rare glass and 5 or 6 elements.

F/2,8 (f/3,5 too) with 4 elements, like yours. Very good IQ, medium contrast, sharp from f/4,8 and with almost excellent rendering at f/8 to f/11 in film.

F2,8- 3,5 with 3 elements. The cheap line.
