Nothing out of the ordinary really. Only that I find the jump in background clarity between f4 and f5.6 to be a bit more than it was till f5.6- and the same phenomenon is seen in either lens. However, in the Takumar, it seems more prominent.

The smc P A50mm f2- I find that while its build is not like its metal bodied M, K or Tak cousins, it is indeed a better looking lens than my FA 50mm f1.7 and both are plastic. Moreover, even if it is not the finest performer wide open (none are), its performance on stopping down, improves quite a bit (they all do) and its bokeh- doesn't seem to be anything horrid.
