Oreston and Tokina are nice lenses I recommend them. I have no experience with Primotar 50. _________________ -------------------------------

Thanks Attila
According to no-x ,
Primotar E 50mm f3.5
the air bubbles aren't fault, but natural characteristic of some lenses. They were typical for the highest quality glass of that time and are very common for Zeiss Biotars (75/1.5, 58/2) and Meyer Primoplan 75/1.9. Even for some later lenses (e.g. Sonnars). They are often called "biotar bubbles". They don't affect image quality. _________________ Photos and Lenses Journal

I'm not sure, but I think, that Primotar 50/3.5 is based on Tessar formula. _________________ (almost) complete list of Helios lenses |

I had one of those Primotars briefly - a good performer, very sharp and easy to use. _________________ Film... and sometimes SD14, 5D2 and some other suff! |
