Beautiful and engaging family pictures you guys! Looks like you had fun, and dare I say....looks like a feast! The goose sounds great!

I spent the last three days at the wilderness beach, and it was COLD. Beautifully sunny though. This morning, I got up a 3am to get a jump on the incoming tide, but took a shot of the BLOOD RED moon on the horizon! We'll see how it goes, I just put the Pentax 645 shutter on Bulb and counted off various times for a total of five shots. Varied from 10 seconds to 45 seconds or so. In that short amount of time, my beard froze! Shocked

I had to scramble over about a quarter-mile of driftwood to get to the inland trail....now THAT was precarious....it's quite the chore to carry a pack, plus a tripod in one hand, and trying to negotiate the frosted logs. Most of them, I just "rolled over" on my stomach, as my feet would have gone out from under me.

Anyway, it was a quiet Christmas and beautiful. The stars were as bright as I've ever seen.

I'll post some pix for this Christmas thread as soon as developed.
