Impressive Very Happy I'm finding the high contrast of the light and dark of winter sun hard to handle, but you've made it look really easy Cool

Like the colours in those shots. No. 3 reminds me of Stokesley. The lens looks like a good'n.

Nice shots, the J-8 is a stunning lens imho, I've been shooting mine the last few days.

Skida, Its a place called Thornton Le Dale, and the thatched house has appeared on many a chocolate box.
Stokesley is also a very nice location must go and shoot there one day.

Graham thanks for the compliments, TBH there was some areas that where very dark in shadows, but used the tools in aperture to bring them out.

Also i got lucky today and found a mint olympus trip 35 in a charity shop up there for £2 will be getting the light seals repaired and shooting some film, that was one of the cameras i wanted growing up.

Nice images. The lens is sharp, with good colours, but low in contrast. I've yet to try my version (which I've had for 2 years or more).

I like the one with the sheep, it almost looks as if it has been painted, great color!

Nice Shots.

The bridge looks better when shooting along it, up at the top. Twisted Evil Wink
I'm thinking it's the Middlesbourough one?

I'll PM you a link if you are interested, but you need to be a little... creative... about getting up there.

It appears I can't post a link to what I was thinking of, you would just get "access denied".

Pretty much, there are ways up to shoot it illuminated at night, looking across the span. Long exposures seem to work very well, I suspect the use of ND Grad filter(s). I would suggest having a Google, but I can't see anything that the general Internet population have access to. I'm sure You can imagine it though.

Needless to say, it's not a strictly legitimate thing to do, though the worst you can get is a ticking off, as it's a Civil Tort, rather than a Criminal charge (Despite what many people, and worryingly, police officers, seem to think). If that sort of thing is worth it though, that's your call. I usually end up going for it, but I can't publish a *lot* of my pictures for obvious reasons. I can say it's a bit Physical, and you need a reasonable amount of fitness to get up there.

Ahh beautiful shots of thatched cottages. I've always wanted to go to the Transporter bridge. Crazy flares on that one.

Actually, you could take the lens off (there's lot more where that one came from) and put in on your Nex. Well, it's a little more work than just that... Razz

The nearest one to London (I think) is in south Wales, it's really scary walking over the top as when the transporter is working the framework shakes.

I've got a broken Trip, never managed to get the lens off, would love to know how to do it.
