The EN-EL14 batteries for the Nikon P7000 will not work in my D3100 and D3200 as they are 'chipped' and the camera will not accept them. However I have found a source on ebay for 'decoded' ones that work just fine. I bought one recently for £8.99 and I'm very happy.

As regards third party batteries, I have NEVER ever had problens with them. Some even have higher capacity than the originals.
