This was part of a series I shot last week to test the T90. I used either a Vivitar 70-150 or a Canon 28mm. All these are from the Vivitar which is simply amazing. I prefer landscapes with short to medium teles.

Foma 100 souped in Rodinal 1:50 8:30 mins at 20 degrees.

Very nice.. I have loads of Canon FD lenses and FD mount lenses.. and a T90 so I guess it's time to use them? lo

By the way why do so many scans of B&W have pink in them?

Very nice Martin. The film and developing is impressive too. I've never tried a Canon SLR - I was put off them years ago because the ones I looked at didn't allow manual settings and only had program and shutter priority modes (i.e no manual mode). Is the T90 like that?

I can't give you a technical explanation, but it happens when a B/W neg is scanned in RGB mode. The pink cast disappears if you scan in grayscale or convert it later.

2nd shot is the winner of the group,I really like the way the leaves frame the image

Thanks all.

I scanned in greyscale so there should be no pink (or any other colour) in the images.

Peter - The T90 has Av, Tv, 2 P modes; M can be obtained by using Tv mode and setting the apeture on the lens, metering is with LEDs. The AE-1 that I have has Tv and M modes (again by setting the apeture on the lens) with the latter having match needle metering.

Yes, I don't see any pink in your shots at all. I think Doug's eyes must be bloodshot. Wink

You can override the camera's choice of aperture in Tv mode?

Well done, Martin, beautiful area and love the tones in these.

@Poilu, Doug might have 'pink eye' (conjunctivitis). Wink Smile

I have green eyes, and am very envious of Martin's effort here. Wink

Hey.. no fair! lol

It's calibrated to death with Spyder ll Pro...

Still get pinkish tinges amongst the greys.. as do many people I've mentioned this too.. Only happens to scanned images.. would happen to all b&w if it were my monitor out of whack?

Well if there are pink casts it compliments the shots Wink and the VIV 70-150mm 2T is a good zoom as I have it with matching 2Xs multiplier.

Yes, by taking the lens out of the auto mode and setting the aperture on the lens manually.

Foma is my choice film these days, instead of FP4+.
