I thought maybe it could be of some interest to share my experience.
I had a white speck behind the front element that I wanted to remove since I suspected it was creating reflections on the frames. I decided to attempt a cleaning. Here the procedure to disassemble the front element:

1. Removing the name ring. On this specimen it's of the threaded type. After trying with no luck with a sink plug I did seep a bit of lighter fluid in threads between the ring itself and the barrel with a syringe. That did the trick, after while I was able to undo the ring.
2. I then removed the inner three screws and the front element came off.
3. I did my cleaning job.
4. I reassembled the thing.

I mounted the lens to a body to check it and seems to focus properly.

Regards, Marty.

Very good, Marty. Thanks.

This procedure may be of help with other lenses having a stuck ring/bezel.
