Did you keep the rear element protruded? (Meaning that it can not be used on Canon FF due to mirror problem)
I have one that converted to EOS mount. At first the lens repairman was going to move the rear element forward so there'll be no problem with 5D mirror. But since I read on the internet that moving rear element forward will degrade the image quality (specially for closer object) so I asked him to keep the rear element as it is. So I can only use it on my Canon 60D right now ..... _________________ Carl Zeiss Jena: Biotar 58/2 1Q, DDR Pancolar 80/1.8 MC, Biotar 75/1.5, Biotar 10cm/2, DDR Sonnar 135/3.5 MC

I am using it on 5DII, but will hit the mirror when focusing on infinity. _________________ http://www.flickr.com/photos/majunrui/ |

OK, I see.
So the rear element is moving when focusing. Do you notice any picture degradation for closer object?
My lens' rear element was kept in fixed position (as the original FD 50/1.2 L lens ... it's different than FD 55/1.2 SSC where the rear element moving when focusing), so it always hits my 5D mirror
Hope Sony will make their first interchangable lens mirrorless FF soon
... or try to get this one ...

Nixland is right and bigyes - your statement is not true because rear glass stays in FIXED position against the rest of the lens group in Canon 50 f1.2 L
In other words - the rear glass won't move because it's a part of the mount
Therefore, the mirror hits the rear glass no matter whether you are at the infinity end or not.
