Canon FD/EOS adapters

Got me one of those adapters which supposedly allows older Canon fd lenses to be used with Eos cameras. Mine has glass in it (easily removed) for infinity focusing.
My problem stems from the fact that I cannot close the aperture on my fd lenses when mounted on an eos camera, this is with either the older mount or the newer fd bayonet mount. Any ideas?? And yes I have taken the fd lens off the A setting.
Funny thing is, nearly all of my third party fd fit lenses work okay.

There is more than one FD to EOS adaptor. Please let us know which adaptor you got. Some lens may need to turn the aperture to A. You may also check the following link.

Beleive I got the adapter from BIG-IS, and still cannot get fd lenses to work on this adapter.
Whether or not I have the lens diaphram on the A or manually adjusted I cannot get the diaphram to shut down to ANY chosen aperture. Havnt tried FL lenses yet though.
As previously stated, other third party fd fit lenses seem to work okay in the manual mode.
Cheers

Few people here use these FD to EOS adaptor. If you are sure your Canon FD lens works fine on FD camera, you should as BIG-IS.
