For sale
My beloved Canon 5D dSLR (shutter counts = based on image no. = 6,415; and about 3 years old) in excellent condition, gently used with the original vertical battery grip (a number cosmetic scratch marks) + 3 batteries (1 original + 2 third parties) plus 3 focusing screens.
I need to sell the camera as I am not finding a lot of time lately to do photography, and I need to clear off some bills.

Sample: Yashica ML 15mm f2.8 @f11
I am thinking around €950 asking price + shipping. I am open for negotiation. Selling as a set only.
What you will get:
- Canon 5D camera - very clean cosmetically + low shutter count, but the sensor will benefit from a professional cleaning.
- Original documentations + software CD
- Original cardboard box
- Original Camera neck strap
- Original battery charger
- Battery grip BG-E4 + original box
- 3x batteries - one original + 2 third parties
- 3x Focusing screens - 1x original, 1x split screen for MF, 1x all matt (I need to check the model numbers).
- Rubber skin camera armour + plastic box
No issues with the Camera's AF/electronic functions. Everything (LCD display, pentaprism, mirror, buttons, selection modes, etc...) works as expected.
I am based in Ireland.
Photos and further detailed information to follow over the weekend.
PM if you are interested.
Cheers,
Simon

Yeah, if I have the luxury I would keep the camera
But I'll still keep my MF lenses until my finances improves again.
Still have my E-510 and Nikon D2H (well this one might go as well) to play with.
Cheers! |

That's an interesting point, actually. There is a sticker on the box which says "for 5D", but the Canon website says it is compatible only with the 1D(s) series (and some film models). Maybe it was modified to fit the 5D?
I think it's not recommendable for the 5D: http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/858788/0 |

I received some interesting questions which I thought of sharing:
1. what's the shipping cost to Italy?
Please check out:
http://postage.anpost.ie/
http://www.parcelspackages.com/international_delivery-Europe.htm
My estimate is it will be around 3 to 3.5 Kg weight including packaging.
For some reasons, I read somewhere that it can risky to send expensive items to Italy. Anyone has a view on this?
2. has the mirror fixed by Canon (warranty's recall)?
I have no issues with the mirror. Everything works fine. I think this affects only cetain models, particularly in hotter/more humid countries.
3. will you provide sensor cleaning before shipping or is it something I have to care about after receiving the camera?
No. It will be your responsibility to get professional cleaning. To be honest, a little bit of dust in the images never bothered me. It can easily be cloned out in PS or Elements.
4. which are the accepted payment methods?
IBAN bank transfer or Paypal.
Thanks. |
