He (I think that it is male) was scratching front left leg with the left rear one.
Thank you for very nice comments. I have better photo (probably my best in 2008) but first want to post it in my Photosig gallery - this Sunday evening

I uploaded other photo of coyote at Photosig website so I can post it here too. I know that branches on the left (front and BG) are destructing but I am not able to clone them off.
