Cameras for lefties?

I'm a lefty and a friend told me that he had once seen a native SLR for lefties on a flea market and now I'm curious about them (It's more curiosity for me than I have a real need for them Wink, except the fiddling with the shutter speed wheel on the right side of most analog cameras I can usually perfectly live with normal SLRs etc.).

Ater a little reseach on the Internet I couldn't find any more informations about them except that some other peoples also have seen analog left handed SLRs (so they should really exist) but they seem to be very rare (or all in collector hands).

Does anonye here has a hint? A brand name? Or camera model for left handed SLRs or Rangefinder cameras?

Exakta Varex, VX1000 or RTL1000...

The various Varex models and the VX1000 have a left-hand shutter release whilst the RTL has both LH and RH releases.

Exaktas prior to the RTL1000 are often seen as being for left-handed use but apparently the original Ihagee design ethos was that the camera be supported by the more powerful right hand with the left being used for lighter duties like setting the aperture, shutter speed and shutter release etc.

Being a `righty', I doubt I could use a `lefty's' camera and have always avoided them. Are you left-eyed too?

And, as a 'Righty', the beauty of these is that I find the ergonomics comfortable too!
(My first 'intrusion' into the SLR/TLR threads - I did once have an Exa Wink )

I have a lefty viewfinder, a Balda Baldinette. Very tough to work as a righty.

Could be an Alpa. I heard they were designed for lefties who stand on their head. Shocked
