Well, after seeing Poilu's mesmerizing work with Ektar, I thought I'd post
some stuff to remind everybody that film does have grain! Laughing
This is using Krogers 400 film, rebadged Ferrania. This is really a test
roll on another $10 Ricoh P&S, the FF3-AF:

Oversharpening corrected.

Very nice. I'm starting to like grain again. No kidding.

Thanks, Jules, some of these I used too much sharpening. Will change
them out later. Sheesh. Embarassed

I'll echo what Jules said about grain! Wow! These images have SUBSTANCE and DEPTH. The compositions are really fine. I especially like the carousel and the simplified view of the corner of the large high rise building. Good work! The film is WELL worth using again.

Thanks, Laurence! Smile I realize these snaps from a Point and Shoot aren't
exactly what we're about here, but I admin a group on flickr that features
Ricoh FF-xx cameras and feel obligated to using them. lol I have a roll of
this film loaded in one of my Konica T4's and hope to have something
with maybe a little bokeh, etc, the next time around.

Thanks again, fellas.

Bill

These are fun! Thanks for sharing and they are the essence in many ways of what much of this forum is about

Thanks, Patrick and Poilu! I realize wrapping these in fat black frames
might seem abit ostentatious, but was experimenting with black backgrounds to see if it made a difference. Dunno, at least with these.
