Braun Norca Opinions?

Briefly, it's a 6 X 9 folder without rangefinder.

I haven't yet been able to determine if it's a Norca II, or a Norca Super...

Insides look clean, and the lens is relatively clear.
Some variants had a baffle system for reducing to 6 X 4.5.
Did not get enough of a look at it to determine exactly what it is.

This may be a cheap re-entry to medium format for me if things are still working.
The Cassar lens appears to be in good shape with a tiny bit of bluish coating.
Anyone here ever use one?

All comments appreciated.

Bit of an up-date here.
It sold all right~ to my sister who gave it to me as a birthday gift! Mr. Green Mr. Green

More to follow.
Bit of cleaning to do, otherwise it seems to be in working order.
Will soon find out, as a roll of HP-5 Plus came with it...

One of my better birthdays for sure!

There is no range finder on it.
The second window is for an extinction type meter.

There's a slightly better view of the main controls.
The shutter works, and the blades look mostly clean.
Aperture is a nice one with I think 7 or 8 blades.
I'll have to get it out in good daylight for a proper count.
The blades are very small.

Top plate, Left to Right:
Film winding knob, lens/bellows release, viewfinder frame size switch (!) cold plate shoe, and body shutter release.
It has a double exposure prevention inter-lock.
The film advance knob must be turned in order to trip the shutter with the body release. Intentional double exposures may be made with the cable release inlet next to the lens.

Baffles opened to 6 X 9.

Baffles in closed position for 6 X 6.
I was mistaken about 6 X 4.5. There is no provision for a negative size that small.

The camera seems to be well built.
There are seperate red windows on the camera back for the appropriate frame size numbers.
They have internal cover plates.
It was very well thought out for it's time- 1952 or so, which makes it a shade older than I am Very Happy .

I have the roll of HP-5 in it now, and will run a test series tomorrow, hopefully.

Pleasant surprise here.
Forgive the hurried copy work.
Very good center sharpness.

Good contrast for a filter-less un-coated lens.
Both images from the same roll of HP-5 Plus.

I kind of like this thing.

I did have a lot of problems with the numbers on the backing paper for aligning in the red window in the film back.
They are darn near invisible.
Will try the T-grained T-max next and see if I can avoid the slightly over-lapping images...

That's pretty good post Blazer One!

I was lighting with very cold L.E.D. lighting which resulted in the blue/underexposed cast.
First time using the D-200 with 55mm micro for copy work.
Next time I'll use the gray card and go manual...
