Great comparison with very different and interesting looking images! Did you use all the lenses on the same camera? I assume most of these only cover a smaller format…
You certainly have some very interesting and unique lenses in your arsenal from what I‘ve seen in the gallery threads and also seem to have a lot of fun using them. Excellent work! _________________ ---

It's just as you described, not that sharp wide open. My copy was bought at less than the current going rate due to a small piece of separation near the front of the lens, but I wonder if it was opened previously and reassembled incorrectly. When mounted to a T2-Mirrorless adapter it can't reach infinity, there isn't enough adjustment in the focus available. I just altered an adaptor, haven't tried to disassemble the lens yet though.
It is acceptable at F/8. |

Thanks a lot for the info! Would be interesting what it's able to do in pristine condition, but rendering looks very nice for images like the one you shared.

You've got a bit of a talent for making cool images. My technique is more 'happy accident'.
These two are from an Accura 85mm F/1.7 YS mount (I think of Sigma manufacture, but not 100% sure). It has a way of melting backgrounds...
This last is from a Canon FL 50 3.5 without the extension. (Can't remember if I ever posted this earlier. I probably have, it's a favourite of mine)

Thanks - I'm mainly just experimenting and trying things that come to mind. I wouldn't dare to say I know what I'm doing...
Your shots are wonderful - I like them all, but particularly the last one. It's so beautiful. Absolutely love the smooth transitions and the overall look. Really fantastic! _________________ ---

This is taken with an Elicar (Komine) 90mm F/2.5 lens, my favourite of the contenders at that focal length. It doesn't get the love that the Kiron 105 and the Bokina get, but it does go 1:1 and is lighter than either of the other two, and can still give pleasing results.
