The wife and I spotted a Great Egret down on the river a few days ago, but I didn't have my camera on me at the time (typical!). So, naturally I have been looking around town for it again armed with my camera. Because it's a rare bugger to capture I threw on my Sony GM 100-400mm lens and used the 1.4 Sony adapter to get me close to 560mm. I have yet to find the Great Egret, but have found plenty of Blue Herons as a consolation prize.
