Focal length only
They can not do Aperture yet
I think that aperture coded at f2.8 makes less trouble than f2
I would like all my adapters to tell the camera F2.8 max
There is less need for exp. comp this way
At least with the adapter that I have that is coded f2.8 (From happypagehk)

BTW
HPHK has the C/Y to eos adapter back in stock
They pulled it for a while do to QC probrems
I received a message from them that it is back and improved Smile

I confirm, perfect exposure with my happypagehk custom f3.5
At least coded focal can help sorting pics
for exposure, we have to wait some reports

Andy, does the aperture info in the chip affects the camera's exposure calculation? Even in M mode? I didn't know this before, I thought it was just info for the EXIF data and the exposure is calculated on the amount of light.

It sure seems to
With the f2.8 chip I don't often dial in an exp. comp for normal front light situations (center weighted)
With the f2 or in my OM adapter it's f1.8 I typically dial in 2/3's or get blown highlights (or close to blown)
I've read others say the same and it sound like Poilu also gets these types of results
In the next couple weeks I will review the latest adapters from both of these suppliers here on the forum
It will be interesting to see the differences if any
