I've seen some impressive work lately utilizing flare so here was my attempt.

The industar 29 2.8/80mm is a gorgeous chrome lens originally paired with the Salute/Salyut camera. It's an unlikely pairing with the p6 mount Kiev 6c. I was able to remove the semi-automatic coupling (which is completely reversible) leaving just the mount. It is essentially the kiev 88 screw mount. I then have the ARAX adapter for p6 to 88. Worked like a charm.

The zodiak fisheye 30mm is wonderful as well as Attila has shown recently. This worked in the adapter just as well.

I think everyone can tell which one is which...

Hey, Moleman, I'll comment!

I love the lines of flare progressing diagonally in the first image. Almost like one might have taken
a negative and inscribed it with something. It actually seems to me to be a nice usage of flare.

The second image is a great testament to the immense degree of view of the 30. Thanks for sharing
these, they are fun and the first one is quite nice.

Hey, don't you find that happens at all kinds of photography fora?

My comments:

>good efforts, stick at it.
> number 1 is very subtle and works for me. I'd have liked to have seen a full length "check this winter outfit" fashion magazine type shot.
> number 2 I'm less drawn to but I think I'm looking at it as a fashion shot and find the fisheye distortion in the lower half a bit distracting.
> I don't know the lenses you've used so I'm sorry that all that techie talk is going way over my head on this occasion.
