Ok.. Lets present some focus test images to conclude the thread.
First out Ginger cookie @f/2.
1. The whole plot
2. Manual focus
3. AF confirm from mfd
4. AF confirm from infinity
5. AF confirm in between mfd and infinity
Conclusion. AF confirm beat me with a hair from the best direction, otherwise my eyes are better than the rest.
You can clearly see the hysteresis when AF confirm is used from the other direction.
Secondly Candle @f2
1. Manual focus
2. AF confirm from mfd
Conclusion, It's almost a draw between my eyes and AF confirm from the best direction, my eyes are a little bit better in this case.
Thirdly line through letter K @different f-stop
1. Manual focus @f/2 (look, another Russian stealth APO lens)
2. Manual focus @f/4
Conclusion. I focus with my eyes good enough no mater what F-stop is used, the lens is sharp and contrasty enough from wide open. The helping line through letter K makes it very easy to nail focus perfectly. Still I have found no explanation for the focus shift I experienced before, but I'm glad that it is gone.
That was that, I hope it can help someone else eventually. _________________
