I took this beast to Birdworld today, full of optimism! I wish I'd read Luis' thread first Laughing

Please click the images for the larger versions, if you dare! If really didn't help that light was low and high ISO settings were required, but that can't mask the fact that this lens has serious glow issues wide open and is low on contrast even stopped down.

f/3.8 @ 250mm - no pp other than resize and unsharp mask 30% 0.5px

f/5.6 @ 250mm - no pp other than resize and unsharp mask 30% 0.5px

Some pp'd images

I think I'll pop it back on the shelf for the time being...IQ or no IQ, it still looks like a monster! Smile

What a shame the subjects deserve better...I still like your composition though in many of these Very Happy Did you take any at closer or mid range distances?

Looks passable at 5.6 but at 3.8... oww, my eyes! lol

I've got a 1960's Yashinon zoom that is equally monstrous, only used it a couple of times, it's quite a lot better than this Tamron I seem to remember.
