I usually use lenses above 50mm, but i found this Revuenon for 12 euros, shipping included, so i thought, why not ... It came with a leather case and his lens hood. I was expecting a small lens, but it's not. It's bigger than any 50 that i have.
From a web sized images you can't see much, but prints came out very nicely. It's probably not a match for the more expensive lenses, but i'm quite happy with it. Maybe somebody knows something about its origins?

Taken with a Canon 450D.

Very nice results, I have the same lens branded Chinon part of my Chinon Leather clad collection
I have the 35mm f2.8, 50mm f1.7 and the 135mm f2.8 I only need the 28mm and the 50mm F1.4 to complete my set.
The 50 1.4 is going for silly prices as the legend has it its tomioka personally not worth more than £40 as there is many 1.4 much better than it for less

Chinon was the first thing that came to my mind. Some say this Revuenon is same as the Auto Chinon 35mm, made by Sun. Any experience with it?

some of the sample photos show vignetting. was this done intentionally in PP or is this
inherent in the lens?

Most chances it is Sun made lens. Images look very interesting. Do you have some images of less distant objects? Some close ups?

It seems to give excellent contrast for a non multicoated lens.

The name sounds French, but its probably made in Japan...

Sorry, i don't have any close-ups yet, but i will make a few and post them.
As for contrast, it was boosted a little in PP.

Revuenon is just a trademark. They sold lenses made by various manufacturers.

Revuenon is indeed a company that "rebrands" other lenses. My 35mm f/2.8 looks completely different :

I have not used it..... (yet)

So they are a marketing company, kinda like Vivitar.

dimitrygo asked for some close-up shots. Well, here they are. At minimum focus distance or near, aperture between 2.8 and 5.6.

I have great experience with Revuenon labelled lenses in close distance they are perform well even at wide open, long distance shoots are weak.

It looks very decent.

Amazing closeups, that tap got me envious. Makes justice for this lens a lot more than the distant shots...
