Hi there:)

So tell me folks, anyone rocking one of these pentax A zooms in 2023 and loving it?

I love manual focus zooms and feel very accurate with them, question is, does this Pentax have any character over the 3rd party offerings from Vivitar and such?

Thanks much happy weekend!

I can recommend the Minolta MD 35-70mm f/3.5 macro.

I have a Takumar 35-70 F4, not sure if that's the exact same lens. My copy has a nice close focus, and I was quite happy with the IQ. Not as appreciated as the Minolta, but IMO a sleeper.

It is a fine lens. Here's my album of it: https://www.flickr.com/photos/randomdump/albums/72177720298110598

Rockin' the SMC Pentax-A 1:3.5 35-105mm (aka bag of primes)

i've heard somewhere "stack of primes", but I could be wrong, and I don't trust that statement anyway Twisted Evil

The stack of primes is a good lens, but quite heavy. The 35-70 1:4 and especially 35-70 1:3.5-4.5 Pentax-A lenses are nice compact lenses, good for walk around.
