Got 6 rolls of this film (VISTAplus) in Poundland, Anyone used this /familiar with it? At £1 a pop , it's surely worth it?
Cool

Yep good stuff, probably made by Fuji and could be their C200 Question but IMO shows more grain in e.g the sky ....but I haven't really compared it with Fuji Superia 200 yet to see the difference.

New Agfa Vista (made in Japan) from Poundland, Canon 28mm f2.8 lens, dev and scan at Asda with corrections in PS

Same as above but the operator using the scanner made this shot too vibrant IMO, but maybe some people will like it.

same above except lens changed and was testing a Rikenon 28mm f2.8

Beautiful results , Excalibur ,it shows the caracther of film vs digital , I mean a " texture materiality" vs the "plastic -glass" look . I love these pics of yours !
Seems I want some Agfa , me too Wink
Tao2 , looking at these samples , i'd say You made a good bussiness !

Really like those shots, think ah'll be heading back to Poundland for another dozen- they're dated August 2014!

I've had one roll developed and I think it was done badly, the neg's were very blue. And I think I've got another four rolls in various cameras, but it's bloody raining all day every day and I can't get out to use them ! Mad

Indeed and no one can say for sure who makes it and why it is so cheap as after manufacture cost, supplier profit, retailer profit, tax and shipping etc the price is amazing at £1........The store used to sell Kodak color plus and Kodak Ultra max 400 (for £1), but I suppose with Kodak's problem and increased prices that dried up (but got a few Ultramax tho' for myself at the time).

The Kodacolor was crap, I won't miss that. I still a few rolls but it's camera testing film and nothing else.

Especially the last photo shows a color gamut that is at once subtle, yet shows warmth
and a 'real world' feel. You've come upon an outstanding film!

Yeah I didn't like it but in saying that, on the right subject it was good. Maybe Agfa and colorplus wouldn't be e.g. suitable for portraiture?

That's an interesting view on neg film as you are an expert with excellent superior slide shots.

I have bought quite a supply of the Vista 200 from Poundland and have been very pleased with the results. My feeling is that it is better than Fuji C200 but not quite as good as Superior, so if it is made by Fuji, it is possibly an emulsion specific to third party "own Brand" labels (if Fuji do that).

I've seen this film and not bothered with it as I assumed it would be rubbish.

I'll move onto this when I run out of Ferrania.

Two shots from my Zorki 4K / Industar 50-2 and Agfa Vista. I've PP'd these two, mainly levels and a bit of colour.

Some good shots there Cool but also some seem to be over-sharpened giving that ugly grain effect Question

Some good stuff there, but a bit overzealous with the USM I guess.

Aye, on reflection, should've checked them individually. Ah always do a 5% batch sharpen with my Sony. First time with this camera , ah'll improve... Laughing
