NO too much chance, Cosina can make superb lenses and crap ones too. Unfortunately labeled with Cosina mostly crappy. _________________ -------------------------------

Would it be fair to say those labelled "Cosinon" were the better lenses? _________________ Graham - Moderator

If we see Cosina make Carl Zeiss and Voigtlander lenses against these lenses Cosina and Cosinon crap really. If we compare with average lenses also weak I had Cosina made Yashica 135mm that was also a crap lens. Jesito had a Cosina lens junk was also. I don't know any other , these were enough to me. _________________ -------------------------------

Didn't Tomioka design some of their lenses e.g. 50/1.4? _________________ Graham - Moderator

That is doesn't matter who designed if not targeted for quality just for mass amount to sell cheaply.
In my experience Tomioka lenses are same than Kiron , Tokina etc. _________________ -------------------------------
