This weekend we went to Bolzano - the northernmost province of Italy - close to the border with Austria and Brenner Pass.
It is a lovely town, completely surrounded by the Alps, with marked cultural influences from central Europe (people there officially speak both italian and german, together with local languages like Ladin) and strong local traditions.
Luckily it was sunny and not too cold, so I could finally try my Nikkor AIS 24/2.8 (bought here from user NikonD).

Then on sunday we went to Renon (Ritten in german) plateau, which is linked to Bolzano's city center by a cable car, and it was an important way of communication between Germany and Italy in the middle-ages (the so called "Kaiserweg" ran across the small villages on the plateau).

10- Earth Pyramids, a spectacular phenomenon: the rock on the top of the pinnacle protects it from erosion, allowing its formation. Then, when the pinnacle is exposed it starts to thin down until the rock falls, and then it slowly disappears.

I'm extremely pleased with the nikkor's performance, especially because I've been looking for a good 24mm for a while.
This lens suits my needs under every aspect, it seems to love blue skies, and it doesn't show any weakness - except some CA, but limited to extreme conditions.
So thanks, Roman, I'm really happy with it!
