Thanks to Andy's generosity, I am a proud owner of a Yashica Electro 35 GS.

And these are some first shots (on Kodak ISO100, expired in 2004)...

In the shadow.

Look how well this lens handles backlight:

Flaring? Not a problem:

What a great lens on this cam!! And the focus just seems to snap in. A rangefinder that can be used for "action" shots. Wink

I can fetch the next roll (this time new Kodak BW400CN) on Friday.
I am so excited to see these pictures!

Very nice Carsten, you lucky man! Smile It looks a very nice lens and a fun camera to use. I need to investigate these a bit deeper. The film hasn't done too badly either.

Very nice indeed. I can see the Yash attributes, there's something about the way detail is rendered and color too.

Very nice, Carsten! Between you and Attila, you guys are really showcasing
this cam!

This cam provided lot better pictures with expired film than Ricoh what you showed before.

This thread finally got me motivated enough to finish the roll in my Electro 35 GSN. I dropped it off to be processed and should have it back next week. I am expecting most of them to be out of focus (was not wearing my glasses while shooting). Hopefully I get at least one photo that I can share.

These cameras sure are a pleasure to shoot with.

You will, Attila, you will Smile

Nice shots, Carsten, they show very well the characteristics of the Electro.
BTW, how did you solve the battery problem?.

Jes.

I have a CrisCam adapter in mine. It now uses a V28PX battery
