...well not quite, but it is nice to know roughly when one of my Takumars was made - and in this instance I'll settle for 1974.

Interesting to see that the camera store took the lens serial number as opposed to the attached Spotmatic's number!

I see a SS is displayed. Is the person who it belongs to deceased?

I think the closest thing to a birth certificate for a Takumar are the two cards that come from the factory and are packaged with the lens.

they show lens type, part number & serial number.

Got the punch-card, but not the feet-meter conversion card...

the conversion card is the most important one, because it carries all of the relevant info.
