Septon was the best of all the voigtlander normal lenses. It was the last design, the same that the planar 2,8/80 for hasselblad.
Was the normal for the lasts voigtladers SRL cams, the bessamatic CS and the Ultramatic CS (both with TTL cds). And the ultramatic with an all mechanic automatism and speed priority (like konica atoreflexes).
In that context, the new normal septon was one of the best voigtlander lenses.
If you use search, will find an Orio study of the lens with a lor of pics. Without words, an Orio work.

Thanks, Rino !
I just used the "buy it now" button on a Bessamatic with Septon lens 2.8/50
I intend to use it on a G1, so it will be equivalent to a 2.8/100
I'm really looking forward to receiving it !
Have a nice day,

You're right, Rino.
The Ebay seller mentionned 50/2.8 in the header, but the pictures with the offer clearly show 50/2.
Even better, thus !
I'm looking forward to comparing it to my other +/_50mm lenses : the Nikkor 50/1.4 and the Helios 58/2

My family of Kodak Retina and Voigtlander lenses in DKL mount is growing up nicely.
I have now :
SK Retina Xenar 50/2.8
SK Retina Tele-Xenar 135/4 (2x, so if anybody is interested ....)
Rodenstock Retina-Rotelar 135/4
On the road to me are still :
SK Retina Tele-Xenar 200/4
Voigtlander Septon 50/2
Voigtlander Super Dynarex 135/4
Today arrived also a set of close-up lenses, of which I have the names but no meaning : N I/32, N II/32, R 1:2/32, R 1:3/32 and R 1:4,5/32
I suppose the /32 indicates the diameter of 32mm, but what is the meaning of N I, N II, ....
and, I must remember to post some pics with the latest additions
