On my Helios there's the Auto Manual Switch: should I notice some difference on the 7D or it's simply useless? _________________ Pietro Desopo

You will need to switch to M on the lens. If not the aperture will always be wide open on your 7D no matter which aperture setting you choose from the lens. _________________

Then you must be using a flanged adapter that presses the aperture pin. _________________ I like Pentax DSLR's, Exaktas, M42 bodies of all kinds, strange and cheap Japanese lenses, and am dabbling in medium format/Speed Graphic work. |

Right. So, if I would use the other adapter without the inner flange, theoretically the A/M switch should let me to change aperture as I'm doing now with the flanged adapter? _________________ Pietro Desopo
