... completely complemetary to my recent test (http://forum.mflenses.com/userpix/20212/big_4216_TEST_85mm_artaphot_1.jpg) - so I look forward to see your results Wink

Besides that I thing about comparing three classical German portrait lenses:

* Leitz Thambar 2.2/9 cm
* Carl Zeiss Opton Sonnar 2/80 mm
* Carl Zeiss Jena Biotar 1.5/7.5 cm

But first I have to clean the Thambar - not so easy, since the optical block is sealed.
The Biotar was serviced by Olbricht in Görlitz some years ago, and the Sonnar looks quite OK.

In fact my comparison will be a little different, because I need to test my lenses in the condition I am using them, so at close distance (like portrait so Mr. Pogman will help me) and with an attention to bokeh. A test at infinity on buildings is not useful for me so I will not take the time to do it Wink

Just for fun, I did this:

Nice test, thanks! Just one remark for the description of the Kilfitt Lens, the maker company was hardly located in Lithuania Happy Dog but in Liechtenstein (a minuscule country between Switzerland and Austria).

Yes, I'm thinking about that as well. Ideally a real portrait session - I did this only once (for the Sony Fotospiegel, comparing the Minolta AF 2/100mm and 1.4/85mm with the Sony ZA 1.4/85 back in 2009). It was simply too much work - nearly impossible to get absolutely comparable images with different lenses. So I'm thinking about using a static subject for a second test of the 85mm ...

That's the problem with humans, they will move between shots. That why I use a plush toy. Small details are quite related to skin, it has a long hair as humans can have, but it do not move.
