Listed it here:

http://www.mflenses.com/mfl-ebay/Zuiko-21mm-f2-M42-5.html

Not entirely sure of it's "real" value, so open to any reasonable offers if anyone is interested & happy to answer any questions of course.

Thanks!

I think real value is same or less in USD for an untouched MINT copy. Any kind of conversion even if reversible rare help to sell.

Last entry what I found in my db.

http://www.mflenses.com/used-lens-price-guide.html

OLYMPUS 21mm F2 FAST APERTURE WIDE ANGLE FILM DIGITAL 575.00 GBP 2009-12-20 18 22903

I sold one 2 yrs before a MINT copy around 500 USD.

Interesting for sure. Best of luck in the sale.
The last one I saw sold was at another forum for $700.
eBay gets nuckin futs prices for this lens at times.
I bet you would also there. Give it a try.

Hi Attila,

Thanks for your help. I asked before I bought it on fredmiranda about the value in OM mount, and people seemed to agree around $1000 USD is average for it: http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/958419/0#9073706

The documented prices in that link (second post) seem to indicate that too, as well as searches around the net (keh, ebay), so I'm pretty sure I haven't paid over the odds. I haven't followed Zuiko glass, but I can only assume you let yours go low, or prices have changed over the last couple of years (as they often do fluctuate).

I guess the real value is for someone who shoots a-mount/Sony Alpha. Are there not many a-mount shooters on here? My friend suggested I list it here, but perhaps he was wrong. Maybe I'd be best moving it somewhere else?

Thanks for your suggestion. I'm correct in thinking listings have to be exclusive to mflenses ? I might remove it from here, perhaps try a Sony site.

Just a bit frustrated as I had firm offers for it to sell before x-mas, and it was about to be posted, but the buyers pulled out for no real reason (on two seperate occations). I had it listed on ebay last week, with lots of watchers, but no one making an offer (as well as the same person strangely messaging me when he'd already decided again buying it - stalker?! Razz Very Happy )

The best value for that lens is in use Wink

I use mine over the Contax Distagon 2.8/21mm.
That is not an emotional choice believe me as Contax is my main Reflex mount.
The Zuiko is that good and it's small size make it the best choice for me.
I'm sure you have your reasons for selling but, I thought I should point that out.

Hey, thanks, that's good to hear Smile. Honestly, it was just for a project like I say. A man from NZ wanted his 35-80/2.8 converting, I had a 50/1.8 (relatives) but saw the 21/2 and thought it would be interesting to try & would comfirm my theory on the mount swap. It did, but seems not so easy to sell on again.

Makes me think i should keep it... but similarly not be in such a rush to sell it either. The major reason for me not wanting to keep it is I shoot APS-C, and the focal length just isn't that useful to justify the cost. If I could afford an A900, perhaps it would be easier to keep hold of Sad

A bit late, but welcome to the forum.

As far as I know, there aren't many Minolta/Sony A mount users here, unfortunately. You might see a few familiar names here though.

Thanks for the welcome and for the info Smile. I've decided it's probably best I list it elsewhere then, cheers.
