11-110/1.8 C-mount zoom on u4/3?

I have an 11-110mm f/1.8 C-mount zoom identical to this one:

Click here to see on Ebay

The only markings the lens has as to its origin is the statement "Made in Japan" and a serial number. The focusing collar is marked in meters and feet. The zoom ring is marked in millimeters, from 11 to 110, and the aperture ring is marked from 1.8 to 32 plus "C" for "Closed".

I plan on listing mine on eBay as well, although for a lot less than what that guy above is asking. But before I list it, I'd like to know if it will work on a u4/3 camera. I know some C-mount lenses will work on the u-4/3 cameras and some don't. But I don't know which will and which won't.

I think that if I could state authoritatively that it will work on a u4/3 camera it will be easier to sell. And it should be useful too, I'm thinking. The equivalent of a 22-220mm zoom for u4/3 should be appealing.

So if you know anything about this lens, I'd appreciate it if you could pass it along.

I am pretty sure it is not cover 4/3 bellow 25mm , perhaps not cover it in all range. I did try looks similar zoom lens few days before on Sony-NEX it has heavy vignetting in all range even at 100mm.

That is my experience too, I have four or five large c mount zooms and they all vignette heavily, sadly.

Thanks for your replies. Attila, you mention specifically that it won't work with the NEX, which is APS-C. And Ian, you didn't specify the sensor size. So, I guess my question remains: for a u4/3 sensor, will this lens have any practical value?

If no, that's okay. What I want to know, so I can address this in the auction, is what sorts of camera formats it will and won't work with. I think it's safe to assume that any video camera that takes a C-mount lens will be good. It's the still cams I'm concerned about.

This appears to be a very well made lens, albeit for video applications. But I can't help but find 110m at f1:1.8 appealing. Cool Maybe a Canon G9/10/11/12 with proper adapter might evoke some interest? Razz

Sorry Michael, I should have said I was referring to the NEX sensor.

I have m4/3 camera too , but I did try with NEX ,based on my experience with both camera ,what I said valid for m4/3, surely it is not cover m4/3 bellow 25mm and chance is high not cover at all m4/3 sensors.
