Hi,
A year ago I bought SMC K 50 f1.2 as my fastest lens. It is beautiful lens. But looking at photos I found that creamy bokeh is not best for all situation, so I've started to search PORST 55 f1.2. I saw that this lens have more nerve bokeh and have some ribs around blobs.
Finally, I have both of them. Some small comparison of those lenses.
Both pictures are handheld liveview focused. Both are post in LR but with the same setup.
*EDIT I put big photos in reversed order than on crops sorry for that, so I put them in thesame order. thak you Alex!
PENTAX
PORST:
and centers of both 1:1
hope this help you with choosing right lens for you!
Best

Interesting. Quite a difference, enough so even I can notice it. _________________ I like Pentax DSLR's, Exaktas, M42 bodies of all kinds, strange and cheap Japanese lenses, and am dabbling in medium format/Speed Graphic work. |

+1 for the comparison. The bokeh is markedly different! OTOH, the sharpness is alot more similar than I thought. (More tests may reveal this to be otherwise.)
Still thanks for reigniting my 50mm lens addiction.....
