Camera is pin sharp Shocked big surprise... Paul told me this is a great camera and he had damn right.

Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Great! You got one that is correctly adjusted! There's a lot of pot luck, but a star performer really is a star. Enjoy

Kodak Portra 160NC, due I wasn't sure about shutter speed. Mine camera has slower speed at every position than marked. With slide naturally it can produce stunning images. My first 6x9 copy was crap, not well adjusted unlike this one.

And the size of it! You really can have medium format quality in your pocket!

Confess, Attila! It's better than those shots you took of Spain (?) with your Bessa rangefinder, isn't it?

PS: Subdued contrast, of course, but very natural-looking. I really like these shots.

Agree , these are better what I did shoot with Color-Heliar and I think good as than I did shoot in Spain. I didn't make better shoot on film with P645 + CZ Flektogon 50mm F4. I am curious about slides , pretty much. Size just perfect indeed.

Of course, if Alex would take on the task of collumating (?spelling) and correcting these old folders, then we could start a whole new art movement with them, and rescue film from the predations of homo digitalis.

Possibly.

Jürgen doing successfully at certo6.com, would be nice if somebody else will doing also. Alex is a digital kid Laughing I don't think so he will ever do it, but who knows if people willing to pay for service. Problem is a very few people thinking on this way like we are to save old gears for own pleasure and for next generation. If you see how many people kill lenses with unnecessary conversion etc etc. I hope this will be changing like old lens usage did change a lot in last few years, I hope people will try again film too. Personally I enjoy a lot to shoot with folder cameras.

Yeah, it's funny to see how many people think that 140 euros (let alone 450, mostly for extras) was an insane price to pay to restore a P6, yet they would probably pay the same at a restaurant for a forgettable meal and think nothing of it.

All about priorities, I suppose.

I need to use my Solida from Jurgen more but I've ended up with so many cameras that need using!

Exactly! All about priority. I looking for your Solida pictures.

That's a beauty of a cam and excellent clarity untouched. Good one, there's nothing wrong with a Novar, is there.

Maybe there is nothing wrong with a Cooke Triplet on a lens with maximum aperture of f4.5.

It's worth asking whether the idea of Tessars and their clones being superior has any truth to it at all on folders - could it just have been the 1940s equivalent of the megapixel craze of our own time?

I'm too tired to read all this but it seems to have some interesting stuff for real optics enthusiasts in in http://www.willbell.com/TM/ChapterB.3.pdf
