Yellow cast from a legacy lens?

Hi,

I own a Pentax M 50mm/1.7, which has become one of my favorite lenses, manual or otherwise.
One issue I have with this lens is that it seems to throw a yellowish cast when with my Panasonic micro four thirds camera.
I have other legacy lenses (e.g., Konica 40 mm/1.Cool, but they don't imbue similar yellow cast.
Is this natural characteristic of this lens? Did I get a bad copy?

Some lenses have an effect on color balance.

For instance I rather like some Komura lenses because they have a "golden" tinge to the results
on my Pentax.

I think this may vary depending on your specific camera, sensor and settings.

For what its worth I have the f/2 and f/1.4 Pentax-M's, and I don't see any such effect.
