Hello,
I can borrow from my friend 50/1.8 and 135/4 lens for trying. The Google does not show lots about Voigtlander M42 lens. Does anyone has any experience?
About the 135mm, I see that its optical element may be the same as the CZ Sonnar MC 135mm. It has the legendary purple color, too.

Hi!

Voigtländer used to be an excellent name in lens production, and it still is for rangefinder lenses!

Some lenses bear the name Voigtländer but cannot be considered high-quality lenses, esp. the modern AF-lenses.

AFAIK, Cosina bought the rights to use the name, now some lenses are excellent others show a poor performance.

But I know that some Voigtländer M42-lenses are copies of Zeiss lenses:

Color-Skoparex 2.8/25 --> CZ Distagon
Color-Skoparex 2.8/35 --> CZ Distagon
Color-Ultron 1.8/50 --> CZ Planar
Color-Dynarex 2.8/85 --> CZ Sonnar
Color-Dynarex 4/135 --> CZ Tele-Tessar
Color-Dynarex 4/200 --> CZ Tele-Tessar

Those lenses, I would like to have!!!

It seems that your lenses are Zeiss copies. You should try to get hold of them!

Ah, this is very useful information, Carsten!
May be good to get these lenses if they come cheaper than the Zeiss!

Very useful to know.
I look on the 135mm lens and it is true that it is the same as CZ Tele-tessar 135/4.
I found here more interesting information

Yes, they are the same!
I can have these lens with a complete package (1 big leather bag with 2 lens, 2-3 Rollei polarized filter, hoods and a VLS-1 camera). All is made in Singapure and named by Rollei - Voightlander.
Here in Hungary getting this stuff you can call it: Wonderful Smile

Rollei bought Voigtländer after 1971 and the brand Voigtländer was used for Rollei models with less functions, although they came from the same plant using the same parts. Your Voigtländer VLS-1 is a twin of the Rollei SL 35 M (TM if it's a M42).

You may be right. Comparing to other M42 lens (Zeiss Pancolar 50/1.8 ) I feel the different. The bokeh is better, the sharpness can reach the quailty of Canon 70-200/4 Smile but its CA may be real trouble.
Cropped at 100%

This is not bad at all from a non -macro lens , truly reach Helios-44 quality Smile or Biotar 58mm.

Curious, those voigtlaender lenses look a lot like the Rollei 135 lenses

The nikon mount Voigtlanders have been discontinued to allow the company (Cosina) to manufacture the Zeiss (Nikon) range. As an OEM manufacturer with the rights to the Voigtlander name Cosina has probably made quality and not-so-good lenses for a range of cameras over the past several years. Personally, I keep a weather eye out for the nikon versions since I am so impressed with my 90/3.5 and I would not hesitate to try any of their Voigt branded lenses.

So, Iha, how is the Dynarex 135mm?
I expect not too sharp but with excellent bokeh, can you confirm this?
