The voigtlander vitessa T has interchangeable lenses. It is a RF camera with some apparently desirable lenses available. Is this the same as the Bessamatic mount (DKL)? or is it unique? I do see ads for vitessa to EOS adapters so I am guessing it is unique. As a RF one would expect a short flange distance making infinity likely problematic. Anyone familiar with this adapter?

I have a 60D so it is not on their list but should work if I glue a AF chip on myself.

I know the lenses are interchangeable with Braun Colorette lenses, the Braun ones are DKL mount so logically they ought to be ok with a deckel adapter.

The adapter shown looks like the other DKL adapters. You can get ready chipped ones. just search "DKL to EOS" adapter - and they are all cheaper than the one in the link.

The Vitessa T use older type of Compur shutter and it is not compatible with DKL mount adapter. You can find a better quality adapter here Click here to see on Ebay .

As far I know they are more or less the same, there might be the nessesairity to file a little bit from the mount, but only if You use the lens on an older camera. The adapter should work with all DKL mount lenses.

Have you go to the link I mentioned above Click here to see on Ebay ? The lenses of Vitessa T/Braun Colorette(Wittnauer Professional) camera have build in aperture control. Later in Bessamatic/Retina IIIS, the aperture control is build in the camera side. This is the reason why DKL adapter need to have aperture control but the Vitessa adapter does not need one. You cannot put a lens for Vitessa T/Braun Colorette into a DKL adapter because they have different physical dimension.

So does anybody knowwith the v t mount to m42 and m42 to eos possibility of infinity focus? It seems it should as it claims infinity on the m42 mount.

The register distance of the Vitessa T is longer than M42 mount. There will not be any problem for infinity focus as long as the adapter is not too thick.

Oh a year late to this thread...

The main difference is the Vitessa T mount has the aperture control ring is on the lens itself.

A bodge around this is to loosen off the four outermost screws on the flange and slip off (with gentle force) the aperture control ring and its spring (preserving them of course for reversal). You can then manually set the aperture in its slot before attaching it to a regular DKL adapter.

There was a few Hong Kong companies specifically reselling "VOIGTLANDER VITESSA T(V.T) LENS TO M42 MOUNT ADAPTER"s.
