A dream car exhibition opened beginning of this month, today I decided to visit that and take some shoot for my wife new site (she designed mflenses.com) I brought to there a bunch of manual lenses
Nikkor-S 1.4/50
Nikkor P.C Auto 2.5/105
Vivitar 2.8/24mm
Carl Zeiss Jena Sonnar 2.8/200mm
Carl Zeiss Jena Biotar 1.5/75mm
and two camera Nikon-D50 and Olympus E-1. I didn't know that how is the lighting there and I have no idea how can make photos from cars. I worried about the distance this is the reason why I planned to use CZJ Sonnar f2.8/200 lens.
I found pretty nice lighting and very polite stuff so I could go close to the cars much as I would. I put first CZJ Biotar 75mm f/1.5 to Olympus E-1 and Nikkor-S 50 f/1.4 to Nikon D-50. Nikon D50 performed very well, with any lenses. I can't used Olympus-E1 same effectively than Nikon D50 I found on the back LCD picture quality is low, but when I got home, on big display I saw nice pictures taken by E-1. So finally I used mostly Nikkor-S 1.4/50mm and Nikkor-105mm lenses.
Here some selected captures:
Nikkor-S 50mm f/1.4 on NIKON D50
Nikkor-P.C Auto 2.5/105mm on Olympus E-1

My guess was a poor one anyway. The aquamarine blue car looks like a
1956 Olds 88 and I'm now puzzled by what the gold car is...oh well, long
time ago.
BTW, how to put things in quote boxes here?

That's what I thought I did and then edited out my comments, keeping
the part of the forumer's message by using "quote" before and "/quote" afterwards,
but it didn't work. It seems to work just fine now, thanks.
(I left off the brackets to the above to demonstrate.)
EDIT: I left off the quotation mark to the person's name which fudged the
whole thing up, sorry to fog up your glasses, Orio!

No need, Attila. I'm not that much of a car enthusiast, either. It was
just a little nostalgia, is all. Thanks for the offer,
