I got this camera lens. I thought this is an Exakta lens and it won't fit into my Exakta adapter Sad

I've wanted a start (cmapm) for a very long time. The helios 44 that you have there was the only lens produced for it, at least on a mass scale. Beautiful lens, 12 blades right? You can get an adapter for m39 lenses (zenit)....but I'm not sure how the focus scale works out.

The mount is unique, there's no other camera that will accept it.

I have this kind of Helios with M42 mount , that lens is superb quality lens. I'd like to get with Exakta mount one, this one is unfortunately unusable to me.

@ Attila:

What about the CZJ Biotar 2/58 - the Helios 44 is a Russian copy?

Unless they're a bit different IQ wise.

I have both lens, perhaps same, I didn't see significant difference.

Then it is possible to make of it a monocle.
