Sears (Tokina) 28/2.8 - Being a tourist (Colombus/Telegraph)

This is the Sears version of the 28mm entry in the extremely common Tokina series that was sold under so many names and mountings in the early to mid-1970's - the same lens was also available as a Vivitar, Soligor, Mamiya, Yashica, etc., in a T4 interchangable mount or as it is here in a dedicated mount.

Its not a great lens, but it works well enough that its on the camera pretty constantly. 28mm is a pretty good "standard" snapshot lens for a crop sensor camera, its usefully wide without being excessively so for portraits, etc.

Most of these are "tourist" snaps from the Columbus street-Telegraph hill area; most are at f/16.

Tokina made lenses are usually very good quality and your samples really highlight a more than acceptable lens. Thanks
