Thank You Dog Thank you.
I am glad you like the photos especially because the lens is not in very good shape.
Wide open it glows very much. I tried to use that problem for good effect though.

the Kaleinar 5N shouldn't glow wide open.. also the corners on your photos look very blurry. I guess somebody tried to repair your Kaleinar and has assembled it incorrectly.

Wow great photos!
What you say is exactly correct about my copy. When I first bought it was worse. I flipped the middle lens and that helped.
So obviously someone did reassemble the lens incorrectly. I was thinking to search for a diagram of the lens.
Thank you for your comments. If you have any other ideas I welcome them.

Thank you, although on my lens the rear element is more rounded on one side and flatter on the other.
When you look at the rear of your lens is it flat or rounded?
BTW, the element I flipped was the first from the rear, that small one.

Someone suggested that it was due to ruined coatings, is that also possible?

Thank you!
Now the problems are solved.
It does not focus a long way past infinity,
There is no glowing wide open,
and the corners are no longer soft.
Thank you very much! I will take it out again on a sunny day.
