Maxwell and I went for our morning walk just after daylight. My wife and I have to go to my daughters college graduation today so I got some pictures early.

Wind was blowing, making it difficult at times.

Maxwell at I think f/8

This dafodil was very hard to get with the wind.
f/8

Last year cat-nine tail.
f/2.4

Last years beach leaves.
f/5.6

I tried several time on this one but the wind made it impossible.

Ron, the pic of Maxwell and that daffodil are excellent! Yes, I feel your pain
when it comes to the darn wind! The colors are outstanding!

I am guessing that the Flek is going to stay mounted for some time.

Nice shots Ron.

Thanks Bill and Mike.

I'm home for a few minutes, so a quick reply.

I like Maxwell and the dafodil also. Not really much to take pictures of on my walk and I want to learn the lense. I've taken about a dozen shots so far. Most not of much interest. The last shot might have been interesting if I could have got it to hold still.

I do like it Mike.

The first two for me, too.

on my screen Maxwell is on the blue side
or the white balance is too cold or my lcd need adjustment Rolling Eyes

Sharpness is great, contrast intense.
I agree to poilu. I also think colours are a little cold.

And what happened to the bokeh in the last pics (esp. in #3)?

Thanks guys.

I should not have showed the last three, I didn't like them either. I won't do that again.

I shot these early and processed them before I went to the university. I didn't check the white balance in the rush, In fact I did very little to them.

I don't know what happened to the bokeh in the last three.

Is this better on Maxi? If its not, my new monitor that hasn't been calibrated yet must be off.

Maxi looks pretty good to me color-wise, Ron. Haven't seen this color of
Schnauzer, so I'm probably a poor judge. He looks healthy, though!

Thanks Bill.

He is a standard schnauzer. He would make 4 of the little mini-schnauzers that you see a lot of.

Yeah, that's the kind I see, little short-legged guys. Dark color brown or
black if I recall.

I was talking to a guy today, who says he has a Giant Schnauzer. Is that a separate breed?

PostPosted: Sun May 11, 2008 2:22 pm    Post subject: Reply with quote

Yes Mike. Mini schnauzer, standard schnauzer and giant schnauzer. The giant can get to 115 lbs or more.
