Two very different shots using a 7D and Tair-3, taken yesterday.

The Falcon was around 25m away, the flower was close to MFD.

Both shot at one step down from wide open.

Impressive the falcon snap ,not the easiest to do it without AF from this angle!

This lens really shines at 5.6 Smile I love my 3s!

Another example from the other day, this time wide open + a 100% crop.
No sharpening applied.

Canon 5D Mk ll + Tair-3 300mm @ f4.5




It's not tack sharp (could be user error) but I'd say that this lens can hold it's own against all but pro-grade 300mm lenses today. It's certainly a match for the latest Canikon 75-300mm 'kit' zooms.
Plus, if you got too close to one of these beasties, you could fend it off with a Tair-3. You couldn't say the same about these modern lenses.
